MTNS 2004 -- MINI SYMPOSIA PROPOSALS

Mini symposia proposals

The program committee encourages the submission of mini symposia which contain up to 7 invited papers on a well-defined subject of current interest. A mini symposium consists of 6 or 7 slots of 20’. It is possible to merge slots to obtain longer presentations. A proposal should contain the name, affiliation and e-mail address of the organizer(s), and of each of the contributors. A two-page description of the theme of the mini symposium, and (minimum) two-page descriptions of each of the presentations are needed.

The mini symposium as a whole, and the individual contributions will be reviewed for acceptance by the scientific committee and the IPC.

All mini symposia proposals must reach our server by

February 15th, 2004

How to submit

Coordinators or organizers of mini symposia should take the following steps:

Step 1 Contact potential authors, and get a list of authors and paper titles.
Step 2 Write a symposium proposal, which describes the contents and coherence of the proposed session. The symposium should contain up to 7 paper contributions on one specific (or closely related) topic(s). The proposal should contain the following items
  1. Title of the symposium
  2. Name and full mailing address of symposium organizer
  3. Description of the topic of the symposium
  4. Description of coherence of the symposium
  5. Ordered list of the proposed session contributions, including titles, authors and a corresponding author of each paper contribution.
Step 3 Generate a PDF file of the proposal.
Step 4 Fill in the mini symposia proposal form.
On this form you will need to supply information on the contributors of the session. This form is also used to deliver the proposal. If properly processed, your submission will be acknowledged by email, providing you with a Mini Symposium Identification Number.
Step 5 Pass the Mini Symposium Identification Number to the corresponding author of each paper contribution in the symposium. Contributors of the symposium should provide this number when submitting their papers.

After submission

Please pass the Mini Symposium Identification Number to the authors of the symposium papers. The Mini Symposium Identification Number can be used for any further inquiries and correspondence about your session. Receipt of the individual contributions of the symposium (the symposium papers) will be automatically acknowledged by email to the session organizer. In this way, the session organizer can verify the timely delivery of the various session contributions.
